What leaves your Mac

GaugeMon makes exactly two kinds of outbound network calls:

• License validation to Polar: sends your license key, an activation ID, and your Mac's computer name (so you can identify it in the customer portal) at most once per day.
• Update checks to GitHub: downloads the Sparkle appcast feed from github.com/suresk/gaugemon to tell you about new versions.

There is no analytics, no telemetry, no error reporting and no user account. GaugeMon never transmits your process list, command lines, gauge readings or anything else about what runs on your Mac. Copy Summary only writes to your clipboard; nothing is sent unless you paste it somewhere yourself.

This website

getgaugemon.com is a static site hosted on Cloudflare Pages. It uses Google Analytics to measure visitor counts and referral sources; the app itself does not. Purchases are processed by Polar, whose privacy policy governs checkout.

What stays on your Mac

Your trial start timestamp, license key and activation state are stored in your macOS Keychain (com.suresk.gaugemon.license). Your menu bar layout and other settings are stored in UserDefaults. All sampling happens on your Mac.
